When we read the resurrection narratives, we saw that the fact that the tomb was empty was a key element in the disciples' belief in the resurrection. Would anyone come to the conclusion that Jesus was raised simply because of the empty tomb? Did anything reinforce the belief in the resurrection? Do you believe in the resurrection? Why or why not?
My faith makes me believe in the resurrection, and that Jesus indeed did walk straight out of his tomb three days after he was crucified. Many people who think just logistically would say that anyone could've removed Jesus' body from it's resting place. Then there would be people who don't know what to believe in. They could use logic and assume someone removed his body, or they could think back to Jesus telling people he would be gone out his tomb in three days.

ReplyDeleteI personally do believe that on the third day after Jesus was crucified he resurrected because I'm a believer of Christ. My faith in God and his wonderful works allowed me to believe that Jesus resurrected for our good. Well something in the Bible that reinforced Jesus' resurrection would be him talking to his disciples as a spirit and doing everything he told them he'll while he lived.
ReplyDeleteI believe Jesus rose from the dead. He mentioned this to his disciples plenty of times that he would rise in the Bible. If I didn't believe that Jesus did this I wouldn't be able to call myself Christian cause one that is one of the most important or significant parts of my faith. Two is if I don't believe this is true then that means I don't think Jesus died for sins and therefore can't call myself Christian. This is why I believe Jesus rose from the dead.
ReplyDeleteI do not believe in the supernatural which concludes that I don't believe in the resurrection. I don't believe in it because raising from the dead is very unnatural and it does not make sense. I have no experience of a miracle being happening in my life but I think that Jesus was never dead he was probably in a coma from all the injury he sustained.
ReplyDeleteI believe Jesus rose from the dead. he said to his disciples multiple times he would rise. not believing that Jesus resurrected would in a way make me not a Christian. it would also be like a sign of disrespect to think he didn't die for my sins and everbody elses

ReplyDeleteA lot of times my beliefs in events such as the resurrection differs. From time to time, something miraculous can happen that leads me to believe in supernatural miracles such as the resurrection. Other times its the complete opposite and believe i'm more gullible than anything, and apply logic rather than believe supernatural occurrences such as the resurrection.I guess you can say i'm in the middle.
ReplyDeletePeople cannot assume that just because Jesus' body wasn't in the tomb that he was raised. Many things could've happened, like someone could've stole his body, or animals could've aten him. I do believe in resurrection, and I do believe in the resurrection. Especially because I'm catholic. I do sometimes have doubts about the resurrection.
ReplyDeleteIn my belief I feel that resurrection is true. But I feel that people can not just make assumptions on the resurrection. You must know at least something about the religion. But at times I just have to question the resurrection at times. But sometimes you must look at it rationally or irrationally on what you know already. Though I feel that the resurrection is true.
ReplyDeleteThis evidence does stirke my mind as i have gone many nights staring at my cieling fan wondering ¨is jesus real?¨. there is always the possoblituy that he was never buried there and that t was just a hoax to make people bielev. But thats just me :)
ReplyDeleteThe validity of Jesus' claims about Himself rests on the Resurrection whether He rose from the dead or stayed in the grave. Many skeptics say that to believe in a risen Christ is nothing more than a blind leap of faith with little or no basis in truth.
ReplyDeleteWhen confronted with the facts, however, those who are intellectually honest have been forced to admit that the Resurrection is an historical event based on irrefutable proofs.
