The Sermon on the Mount
Now that you have read the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7), reflect on your reaction to it. Are the things that Jesus is asking every Christian to do easy? Do you have problems with some of them? Is there anything that he is asking that you find particularly difficult? (50 words minimum)

ReplyDeleteIt is extremely difficult to do everything that Jesus is telling us to do.Even though, I am not Christian, It must be difficult to do all of these things.There were plenty of things that included don't murder anyone and love everybody.i find this difficult because not everybody deserves your love.
DeleteIn my opinion, The things that Jesus is asking is very difficult because it's a lot of the things to do. I'm a Muslim so I don't know if I'll have a problem with it. Most of these things are difficult such as helping one another 24/7.

DeleteThe Sermon on the Mount covers several different topics. But of course there are things that Jesus stated that are difficult to live by. I can't ever completely live up to the high expectations and morals Jesus sets for us, but the sermon is the goal that I drive for. Even though I may have trouble following everything Jesus asks for, God is always willing to forgive.
ReplyDeleteEverything that Jesus is asking for is possible to do but it is not easy. Even the most religious person on earth can't follow everything that Jesus is asking for. We all make mistakes and we all sin. I do not have problems with anything that Jesus is asking for, I believe that everything he's asking for makes sense and possible to apply to your everyday life with the help of God.
ReplyDeleteJesus asks for a lot from the Christians. Their are multiple things that Jesus ask for Christians to do. I personally struggle with such a task. His expectations seem a bit hard for me trying to go through my day without breaking one of the things he ask for me not to do. its nun particular that i struggle with its just everything in general
ReplyDeleteThe things Jesus is asking every Christian to do is not easy in any way. Because of all the temptations we face in this world, many things He says to do are hard tasks. The one thing He says to do that I find hard to follow is the sermon He gives about loving your enemies. It is very hard to love the people I dislike. When people do wrong by me, I forgive but I never forget. I hold a grudge for a long time, and I know it’s unhealthy, but I’m just not able to let go of certain things. Jesus says love your enemies, but that’s very difficult for me, and many other people.
ReplyDeleteJesus ask a lot go things about/from the christians. He basically asks to not sin. But for me its really hard to do because i sin everyday. Im sure veery one does and thats why when we pray we ask for forgiveness. If we don't ask for forgiveness then Jesus or God won't forgive us and therefore they punish us. I really think that the Christians were struggling to follow his expectations because no one is perfect.
ReplyDeleteWhat Jesus asks of us is not an easy thing to do. I find all of the things that Jesus ask us to do is difficult because for me a boy with at my age who sees women to an attractive taste. I would not be able to follows Jesus word on following to not commit adultery even inside your mind. This task is not easy because am sure that everyone has had thoughts of women once in a lifetime even if you are in a current relation with a women. This is hard but I hope that we never go beyond the mind
ReplyDeleteI find it very difficult to follow most of what Jesus is asking for every Christian to do because I don't all of them on the daily so it hard for me to follow what Jesus is asking for me. I have a lot of problems with all them but there two that are really hard for me and they are love your enemies and the eye for an eye one which basically meant if someone does wrong you shouldn't do the same to them. These are the hardest for me.
ReplyDeleteI feel that it is difficult for me to follow the things that Jesus is asking of us. And personally I think that this not easy. Also everyone commits sin everyday even when you don't realize it. But since God isn't fair he always is forgive to every single one of us.

ReplyDeleteThe things that Jesus is asking every Christian to do are far from easy. Doesn't matter if everything Jesus asks to do is being done; screwing up is prone to happening. This is why we are often forgiven, because it gives us many chances to get it right. I often have a difficulty with prayer, for I am not very consistent in doing so. I feel as if they aren't being payed attention to because there are more pressing and important prayers that need to be answered.
