This protest is probably the worst thing someone came up with. A one day protest is not going to change anything. It is not going to impact anything. Half the people that went along with this protest just stayed home and waisted there time. A lot of people don't know if they are still going to have their job tomorrow. Yes I do know why this was done, to stop Donald Trump from his cruel actions.
I feel that the protest can serve a good purpose. But the way some people are trying to show it to people isn't right. Because how people aren't going to listen to them by just the way they are conveying the message. I guess the people here risked one day of there education. The purpose of this was about the immigration problem mainly talking about Donald Trump.
I think protests work but don't work immediately but will have huge impact over time and also that it depends on how your protesting in order for it to be very efffective and cause change. In my opinion people today don't really risk anything when they protest and would rather wait till it's the right time to say or protest something that may cost them something. Most protests are to cause change or bring attention to certain issues that are being swept under the rag and not being talked about.
The protest yesterday importance was about how important how immigrants are to the daily lifestyle and economy of the United States of America. Yes they did risk something which were their jobs, house and ETC. what I think about the protest is it will really be hard to really make a change this protest needs to be months instead of days.
the protest in which we discussed talked about how our immigrants are vital to the American society. the protest will most definitely have great impact but I just feel like it may a couple tries to get the point across.
The protest can be effective, but only if it is preformed multiple times to obtain a larger following. I'm sure a lot of people were unaware of this protest and continued to go about their everyday lives. Sure some businesses and schools suffered, but I feel they didn't suffer enough for "alright there's a problem here" to be uttered at least once or for it to gain large media attention.

The protest seems ignorant to me because of what hey were fighting for. I think that a protest is only right when the conflict is really big, like something thats going to affect us in any type of way. I just don't think this was right.
